This Burbank-born powerhouse of a performer started playing piano at the age of nine. And, after receiving a guitar, at the age of fifteen, she quickly took to the art of song-writing. Since those days, she has been active on the Hollywood singer/songwriter circuit, serving up generous helpings of her special brand of visceral perspective. Though Crislyn undeniably has her very own voice, she cites Billie Holiday, Carole King, Nina Simone, Stevie Nicks, Jewel, Fiona Apple, and Alanis Morissette as influences. As sand on the beach always seems to find it’s way into our clothes, hair, shoes etc., Crislyn’s music is sure to find it’s way into the open spaces of your heart once you’ve heard her.
